"Grandpa" Al Lewis died on 3 February 2006. Lewis, best known for his role as Grandpa on the television show The Munsters, was a life-long activist, publicly supporting any and every cause that he believed in: the Black Panthers, Free Mumia Abu-Jamal, the Green Party, anti-war rallies and more.
